Phase One Day Seven

Hate to sound like a broken record but my I am still not sleeping well. Today I wake up tired and feeling restless. I did some research online last night regarding feeling tired and leg cramps on phase one of SBD and for Lilly, getting a headache.

Didn’t find much on the tired part, as for the leg cramps it was due to a lack of sodium. The headache part had many theories, caffeine withdrawal, lack of water, not enough protein, skipping snacks and the list goes on.

For breakfast I decided to not have eggs since I have had them everyday this week. We had turkey sausage, which was better than the pork sausage we normally get, bonus!

We weren’t skipping our snacks today so we had celery sticks with sugar free peanut butter. Ok I know what you are thinking, gross. Well it was actually very good. I was surprised at how good the peanut butter.

For dinner we tried the Chicken Pistachio Salad from the South Beach Diet book on page 141. It was very good. The Pistachios finely ground up were very close to a breadcrumb covering on the chicken, nice surprise. The chicken would do well on it’s own or with the salad on the side, if you want to change things up a bit.

Breakfast: Turkey sausage and cucumbers covered with fresh lime and Chile sauce.

Snack: Celery sticks with sugar free peanut butter.

Lunch: Missed it. I know this is breaking the golden rule.

Snack: Dried lightly salted Edamame
Dinner: Chicken Pistachio Salad
