I woke up again feeling very tired. It’s Saturday so I slept in until 10:00 am, when I normally wake at 7:00 am. I usually get about 6 to 7 hours of sleep in a night and wake up feeling fine. Last night I got 10 hours and still feel tired. Maybe it’s too much sleep and the serious reduction in caffeine. I have really stepped up my water intake to see if this helps the “hung over” feeling in the mornings. For the most part it has.
Went grocery shopping today and to my surprise my bill was about 20% less than normal. With many of the food restriction during phase one of South Beach Diet, I purchased more fruits and vegetables and less processed food and of course no alcohol. A good bottle of wine can really blow your budget…
For dinner we are going to try steak fajitas: http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/maindishes/r/beeffajitas.htm
Breakfast: Two egg whites with tomatoes, peppers and mushrooms. A cup of water.
Snack: none
Lunch: Tuna Fish with tomatoes and jalapeños. A side of Jicam with lime and chile.
Snack: Peanuts
Dinner: steak fajitas with fresh avocado on the side.
The steak fajitas were very good.
